Piece by Piece is excited to announce that we are now recruiting for four AmeriCorps VISTA positions that will start in June! These full-time, one-year roles will play a key part in helping our organization grow and deepen our impact across Los Angeles.

These VISTA members will support our mission to empower Angelenos who have experienced homelessness, trauma, or economic insecurity by increasing access to free mosaic art workshops, expanding income-earning opportunities through our social enterprise, and building a stronger, more resilient community through art.
AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a national service program dedicated to ending poverty by supporting nonprofit organizations like Piece by Piece. Members serve full time for one year, helping build capacity through activities such as volunteer coordination, marketing, systems development, and more. In return, they gain professional experience, a living allowance, and an education award or end-of-service stipend. It's an ideal path for someone passionate about service, community, and making lasting change.
Each of the four VISTA roles has a unique focus:
Program Coordinator: Support daily mosaic workshop operations and develop tools to improve class experience and access for participants.
Outreach Coordinator: Design and implement a strategic outreach plan to grow awareness of Piece by Piece's free programs and engage new participants.
Marketing Coordinator: Create targeted marketing materials to grow B2B sales and increase earned revenue that supports participant artists and Piece by Piece's mission.
Volunteer Coordinator: Build a volunteer program to support workshops, events, and behind-the-scenes operations.
All four positions will help Piece by Piece increase capacity by building systems for growth, create new opportunities for artists, and strengthen our connection to the broader Los Angeles community.

Through the healing power of art, we build skills, confidence, and community — one mosaic at a time.
