Are you a college student passionate about the arts, storytelling, and social justice? This summer, Piece by Piece, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit arts organization, is offering an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the world of nonprofit development and fundraising.
Thanks to the support of the LA County Department of Arts and Culture, Piece by Piece is opening applications for a Paid Development/Fundraising Internship based at its South Los Angeles studio. The hourly rate for this internship is $17.87. This flexible, part-time internship runs from June to October, offering up to 400 paid hours (15–20 hrs/week) — and a chance to work closely with a mission-driven team.
Interns will work side-by-side with the Executive Director, grant writer, and department leads, supporting everything from grant research and funder communications to helping translate complex social issues into compelling, solution-focused narratives. This internship is also a chance to experience how a vibrant arts nonprofit operates — from studio workshops to sales, production, marketing, and beyond.

We're seeking students who are:
Strong communicators, both verbal and written
Comfortable with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Curious and driven, with an interest in the arts and community impact
Open to working in a creative, industrial studio space (yes, there may be some dust!)
Empathetic and ready to engage with people from all walks of life

Piece by Piece uses the transformative power of art to empower Angelenos who have experienced homelessness or economic insecurity. Through free mosaic art workshops, participants gain confidence, learn technical skills, earn income, and build a stronger sense of community and self-worth.
